Style Dossiers: Eye Of The World Designs
Culture, Design, StyleLiam Motyer and Hope Von Joel are the geniuses who run the “Eye of the World” design label. Their craft is a line of unique hand finished accessories primarily made out of natural materials (mostly wood).
The South London based duo pride themselves on their ability to create pieces that are not only fashionable but also on their adroitness in designing exclusive accessories which in turn allow their customers to be proud owners of art.
The pair recently teamed up with knitwear designer Brooke Roberts for their AW’11 (Autumn\Winter 2011) collection.
Drawing inspirations from fashion greats Pierre Cardin and Paco Rabanne (60’s era), the designers were able to transform reclaimed wood into beautifully crafted pieces of art.
Their ingenuity has enabled them to gain the attention of many high fashion teams in Paris and Italy and has recently landed them a feature in British Vogue where their accessories are set to be promoted in the magazine’s September 2011 fashion issue.
Eye of the World’s ability to convert shapeless wood into fashionable geometrical wonders has created a much deserved buzz across Europe, and rightfully so!
