The Airplane Boys (Beck Motley & Bon Voyage) are a new breed of sound in modern music. Taking elements from hip hop, pop, electro, rock and jazz, the two have meshed the styles with their poetic verses and catchy hooks. What started out as a small collaboration with the band No Stone, grew into a long term relationship introducing The Airplane Boys to live acts within the underground jazz-funk circuit in Toronto. Some notable acts include: Revival for Canadian Music Week, a charity event at El Mocambo, West 50 for the Mississauga Film Festival, The Rivoli, Hardrock Cafe and various Jazz festivals around the city. As they mastered the craft of stage presence and gained a better concept of mainstream music, they decided to take their turn into the current music market. Their new sound evolved into more digital soundscapes that relied on captivating synths, drum patterns and intricate lyrics. The intent for change was to break the old and create new genre in hopes to pave a new way into stardom.
