Art Shots: Vancouver’s Eli Horn – EXHIBIT B
Art, Art ShoutsThis is the first of two exhibits by Canadian artist Eli Horn to be featured. As Zouch editors, we’re constantly exposed to all kinds of new art. When deciding what I want to write about, I don’t look for polished, technical prowess, or even a WOW factor. What I need is to be exposed to something that grips me enough that I become a drone, and automatically work on publishing a piece. I realize now, that it’s a very esoteric, or even arcane sort of stimulation that grants me the inspiration to work to popularize artists.
In the work below (EXHIBIT B) Eli Horn gives us an almost frantic array of diverse concepts. It’s work that has the je ne sais quois required to snap us editors into action. Canada, and the world, should indeed be paying more attention to this young artist.
