Just when you thought things couldn’t get any more unconventional in fashion, here comes Thom Browne with his Fall 2012 Menswear Collection.

At first glance, this season’s collection seemed to have derived illustrious inspiration from Frankenstein, The Adams Family and of course BeetleJuice; but Browne described a scenario where “Punks face off against Jocks”.

The show took place during Paris Fashion Week at the Galérie de Minéralogie et de Géologie. The gallery’s usual display of crystals, gemstones and minerals were tucked away and the museum transformed into a classroom where a bevy of boisterous models paraded in spiked metal suits, striped sweater dresses and pencil skirts.

To the naked eye, the clothing may seem absurd and un-wearable, however if looked at closely every piece was very well tailored and if worn individually, they wouldn’t look so absurd.

Although very different from one another, Browne’s collections all share one similarity; they are all eccentric in their own right.

I’m sure audiences everywhere are anxious to see what this designer will conjure up for Spring 2013.
