There are many reasons why I prefer women in my work. I’m mostly drawn to portraying women because they have a greater ability for communication through subtle expressions and gestures. Also, women are braver in exploring beauty and style for themselves, which means that although my work is surreal, it’s easier to believe that none of it is impossible. One day however, I’m sure I’ll have an idea that requires I paint a man, I’m still very open to that.
